Where do I start with Evola? I'm intrigued with the introduction to magic books, should I start there?

Reading Evola is a sign that you’ve totally given up and don’t mind being branded as an irredeemable low quality incel.

Do not start with introduction to magic, despite it being called an "introduction" it is not really one at all, start with Guénon,
Follow the chart his most important works are Man and His Becoming, Reign of Quantity, Multiple states of Being, Symbolism of the Cross, and also Initiation and Spiritual realization, I would also recommend from Guénon his writing called "Psychologie" which only exists in french and has no english translation.
Then for Evola, move on to the Yoga of Power, aswell as the Hermetic Tradition, and also in the meantime acquiant yourself with meditation methods from eastern traditions, stuff like bodyscanning, etc. Try to increase your imaginative capacity, through training your faculties, and corresponding abilities like visualization, ratiocination etc.
After this preperation, you are ready for everything be it the Introduction to Magic series, or an initiation into an eastern tradition, which virtually gives you an advantage in all other aspects aswell.

Normally women are threatened by me and I slowly have to earn their trust. These girls are the kind I would actually want to hang out with, but I know they just wouldn’t give a shit. Listened to them go on a long rant regarding the commodification and disenfranchisement of women due to the sexual liberation movement. Everyone is alone and isolated with their porn and plastic toys. Made me miss my ex gf. Mad me realize I look back more than I look forward. Made me remember all my friends moved away. Remembered we’ll never have edgy /lit/ book clubs with people who give a shit and can articulate themselves properly.

Basically their vocal fry made me spiral.

Evola said that his magic books are for strengthening character, so to identify someone who's made headway with those books and who can give you advice, you should ignore any petulant/aggro types. This is a good guideline for pretty much all spiritual paths, actually.

Hello unrealpress faggots

>> No.21550196

Best starting point for Traditionalism in general is Guénon's Crisis of the Modern World because it's short and easy to wrap your head around since you won't be up for the real schizo stuff just yet.

As for Evola, I think Path of Cinnabar is a good starting point because he essentially presents the overarching themes and aims of his career as well as directly addressing the controversy surrounding him. Which is pretty important considering he has such an uncommon worldview. He also briefly outlines each of his books chronologically.

Once you've read that it's up to you. You can do the political approach with works like Men Amongst the Ruins and Handbook for RightWing Youth, which I wouldn't personally recommend straightaway because they are only secondary to his main ideas and may give you the wrong impression of his philosophy.

I think it's best to go with his spiritual books first because of their presentation of "Tradition" and the guidance they might give for you personally. The first one I read was Doctrine of Awakening about Buddhism which is very profound and gives a very straightforward interpretation of spiritual development in general. Likewise Yoga of Power (the left hand path is the only path available in today's age according to evola) or hermetic tradition (which is essential before you try introduction to magic).

Once you feel familiar with his philosophy get stuck into ride the tiger and revolt against the modern world which are definitely his most important works but will be difficult to understand if you aren't familiar with him beforehand.

I strongly disagree with this chart. Read Orientations, a short essay, first. Then read either Doctrine of Awakening or Men Among the Ruins depending on which interests you more. Alternatively, read Guenon's Crisis of the Modern World first. Then just read anything that interests you in whatever order you like. This is too systematic and will alienate people. There are several things that make no sense, like ending with Path of Cinnabar or beginning with some of the hardest writings.
