This is true. But people who claim that there is a way out of the matrix didn’t bother to see the second film, in which it’s made apparent that Zion is simply another layer of control, a way to appease those who would otherwise reject the programming by giving them the choice of rebellion (a choice that is still essentially accounted for by the system). Even Morpheus isn’t to be trusted in this sense because he’s offering Neo a false choice. Neo himself is an impossibility, a work of fiction- no one can be Neo because in reality no one is able to see the matrix from its outside and read/alter the code at will.
