I read A Christmas Carol last year, Anon.

Apart from his other Christmas stories, Dickens in general is a good Christmas read.

I've read Hercule Poirot's Christmas too many times to count, Maigret's Christmas too, and I'm saving The Nutcracker for the Christmas night. I don't think Dickens is my thing, but I guess I could try.
I'd kill for some good detective mystery recommendations, Christmas themed or not.

It should be, The Nutcracker and The Mouse King is the original title of the story, most people tend to shorten it as just The Nutcracker both for simplicity and because the ballet is called like that.

>> No.21403110

>>21403101
Of course it's only after I press post that I find it, there is an adaptation of The Nutcracker by Alexandre Dumas, this one was used for the ballet. Hoffman's original story has the Mouse king in the title. I'm not sure what are the differences, haven't read either yet.
