Unironically begin by finding things that interest you and read them consistently. If you are really as dum as you say, then there is no point for you to start with something difficult that you will just abandon after a few days. Focus on reading things you enjoy consistently, and you can then work your way up to more difficult works with the same kind of themes.

at*mic habits is unironically a good self help book. the premise is instead of trying to brute force your way into discipline, you arrange your life in such a way that it becomes easy to do the right thing at all times. the book shows you how to do this by taking a bunch baby steps that all add up aka >atomic habits

Arthur is objectively superior to the Greeks; take the parables of Muffy and Mr. Ratburn and compare these to the follies of the short-lived Athenian Empire due to their ignorance toward the many concepts we now know via Arthur.

Why, had if the Athenians had recognized Socrates as Buster Bunny they would have not endowed him with special authorities; it is not unlike the episode where Buster Bunny plays the role of a scholar.

Here's what I did, after being a degenerate in undergrad and smoking weed every day

1. Start a routine of going to the gym. Healthy body=healthy mind
2. Journal your thoughts and dialog with yourself. Talk about what you did that day and why you are satisfied or dissatisfied with yourself that day. Get your long term goals in writing
3. Set time limits for yourself on the phone/computer. Their monopolizing of your time is one of modernity's greatest evils.
4. Start by reading easier, more contemporary works to build a habit of reading. Once you come to enjoy it more you can move into more difficult and more rewarding works

I dont think reading a book about how to be a better, more functional, person will help you actually achieve much. It is relatively simple you just need discipline. Avoid lethargy and take each day as it comes, striving each day to better yourself in mind, body, and/or spirit in some sort of way
