Islam is midwit-tier. Christianity has cool symbolism, at least. You're better off just going to the gym though.

99% of muslims are motivated by what they think God will do to them after they die it's the most soulless fucking bug person religion. Sure some christians are motivated by heaven and hell, but generally they want to things because they actually feel it's "the right thing to do". Compare a Christian sermon where the righteous path is presented as its own reward, to a Muslim teaching where they only talk about how to get to Jannah and how to avoid hellfire.

Having spent a fair bit of time in Islamic communities I found very little inspiring or even interesting about Islam in practice. Breaking fast during Ramadan is kind of fun though.

honestly this is just true of most religions, at least ones that place a heavy emphasis on moral rectitude. 95% of adherents will have a boring simplistic understanding of the faith as a way to orient themselves morally. maybe ~5% will get into the more interesting territory.

Religions that teach reincarnation don't have this issue.
People are motivated to do the right thing because they're just going to end up back here, but as a helpless baby, and with amnesia of their former life.
The "problem" is that the religions that teach this aren't usually motivated to form violent armies that impose their beliefs on others, and so in the natural course of events, they tend to die out.
