Nick Land is a weird guy. His 90s stuff has barely anything to do with right wing politics apart from a distinct post Marxist kind of vibe that marxists interpreted as somewhat hostile at the time. It's just continental philosophy autism for the most part, mixed with an obsession with technology, evolution, sort of scifi AI stuff.

In the 10s he was part of the neo reaction thing that sprung up around Moldbug. If you're the kind of right winger who likes thinking about biology and game theory more than God then you'll like him but hes very unorthodox. Hes no fascist, and not a monarchist either. Hes some kind of Republican, as in 18th century England or Netherlands style Republics. Unfortunately Xenosystems is defunct, the comment section there was often pretty interesting, so youd have to track down one of the pdfs of his blog posts floating around.

It is part of how we used to maintain the culture despite a generally high turnover in anons. In high school, I did something similar. I tended to fiddle with things and my favourite was scissors because scissors are the coolest kind of stationery. The teacher would take my scissors and when she wasn't looking I'd pool another pair out and so on to my classmates' amusement because it was always a different kind of scissor and they didn't think I could have fit any more in that pencil case. I had around 12 different scissors in my pencil case to the point I could only fit about three pen-sized items in it otherwise. I had found these just lost around the campus, btw, so I was always in supply. One day I was able to repeat the charade to scissor number 4 when the teacher asked me to dump the contents of my pencil case. I did and the class was once again amused. The teacher however sent me to the guidance counsellor because she thought I was self-harming. A similar scenario happened between a teacher overheard my darker jokes and then took me away to literally talk me out of becoming a school shooter. I live in Australia. I immediately told my friends and we all laughed. We all had some fun the next week when they played bowling for columbine in English class for some reason.
