First of all, larger conflict does not mean "nuclear armageddon", it could simply mean that Putin sends military jets to Italy and bombs some specific targets, or other kinds of military action to punish Italy. (Inb4 "nobody cares about shitaly", you might want to read up on the fact that Italy is the first country in Europe for the amount and the power of weapons sent to Ukraine. No other country is showing such fury and obstinacy as Italy in supporting Ukraine). Second, neutrality does not mean that you must bow down to Putin, it literally just means neutrality. You do not participate in the business of war. Switzerland is neutral, but that doesn't mean its government doesn't formally condemn Russia. At the end of the day I simply think Putin is not the Devil and he will not wipe out Ukraine, he started the war for very different reasons.
