>put notes on the page they are needed (footnotes): NOOOO THEY ARE LE INTRUSIVE
>put notes at the end of the book (endnotes): NOOOO FLIPPING BACK AND FORTH IS ANNOYING
Just what the fuck do people want? what's the right approach regarding notes?

I'm translating a book with notes and I'm not sure which approach is best.

Footnotes for an original. End notes for third party commentaries. IMPO, phil books are unreadable without footnotes; endnotes and notes at the end of a chapter make me sick.

They’re extremely intrusive if the footnote continues on for multiple pages. I would just prefer them to be in the back if the footnotes are going to be so long.

>Book has a formal introduction to clarify why it was written and introduce the contemporary situation.
>Has footnotes by the author to expand on ideas without interrupting his thoughts
>Endnotes to introduce supplementary material, sources, and the author's additional thoughts
>Indexed
>Every completed idea has an associated chapter-and-verse citation number

I like footnotes because they have the word "foot" in them.

Each page has an attached foldout page if there are notes for it. The Jew fears foldoutnotes

>> No.21030037

Footnotes continuing on past a reasonable point should be contained in an annex at the end of the work.
