I read an article a while back that said men prefer nonfiction while women prefer fiction. This has certainly been true in my case. What are unironically some classic novels that a straight, white, western chauvinist male would like?

For me it's between Pride and Prejudice and Harry Potter.

and you think that by simply comparing that with "women" youll come up with a book recommendation that suits your group identity?
Anyway, Madame Bovary is excellent if you're actually interested in how woman think. It's very much about a woman's "passions" and how they're all vain and disastrous and how she's a stupid bimbo who couldn't leave decent men alone.

2/2
So I meant if you take your chauvinist label seriously then it's good hate-fuel against women. It's one of the greatest novels of all time, considered perfect for a loooong time even by contemporaries who hated Flaubert. It's also psychologically realist so you get to experience btfoing roasties at a sophisticated level. And I'm only being partially facetious. It's in my top 3 classic novels. It's technically perfect, but you have to get a taste for 19th century realism.

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll be sure to check them out!

Just know that literature is very masculine, as a male you need a male role-model to pull you into the world of literature and Harold Bloom has served that role for many men here
Seeing how feminised the world is today I suppose it's no wonder you just associate literature with femininity
Good luck on your journey anon

My recommendation is to stop being an absolute cuck to identities. You're not a victim, you're an idiot.
