What to study and is it even possible, if I only want to improve in one aspect of writing, dialogue. Dialogue isolated is all I care about. I'm not literary.

I'm inspired by documentaries/movies/screenplays, theater, memoirs, essays and manifestos.
Despite resembling nothing what I want to do, science fiction and other kinds of fiction, these are my inspirations.

But then again, no quality would ever come from a sci fi novel redacted like it's Ted K.

not much I can recommend but I can recommend Elmore Leonard's books. Martin Amis said it best when he said that Leonard had 'perfect pitch' when it came to prose in his novels

So it's still prose, because I suck at it, no talent whatsoever.
