As much as I liked mgs4 one of the reasons it was such a reconned mess was bc kojima had no fukushima to keep him in check so kojima basically fucked up his own story by adding too much shit. I still like kojima though he just needs a solid dev team!

Sometimes it is not about intelligence but more about experience.
Maybe you can find someone that manage to make a deep analysis on a particulary book thanks to a lucky coincidence of events that happened in his life (having a good professor knowledgeable in a specific subject helps a lot for example) but the same guy is incapable on understanding the easiest stuff from another book.
This is basically the reason people should read literature and talk about it. You learn from others and others learn from you, you are not capable of understand everything but that is what others are for
