I know I am above average in intelligence. I don’t say this to brag, but just to state a fact. I’ve been tested before and I’m firmly in the midwit category. In my corporate job, I regularly see that I am a better problem-solver, critical thinker, etc. than most.

Yet on this website, despite all its flaws I read some profound things. I see stuff you guys post sometimes and get in awe. Even if your personal lives are in shambles I have a deep respect for some of you.

Is there any literature out there which deals with the themes of being above average, but being humbled in the face of true genius?

No idea, but there are always people smarter than you.

Why don't YOU live that experience and write about it? Wouldn't that be more helpful and rewarding?

Because I don’t want to. I’d rather just read about it if it exists.

you are being fooled by people dumber than you since your mind is in the midwit range it tends to see reason even where there is none, profundity in an abyss of stupidity. retards and high iqs aren't fooled so easily.

Umm bros? I think this post might actually have been written by Kojima.
It has that stilted and awkward quality so visible in his dialogue

You know, instead of you picking apart my writing style you could be nicer. Some of us are ESL and english is our second language.

/lit/ might be shit but sometimes you stumble across a gem here and there, and reca are not bad either.
Currently reading The Madness of the Crowds, Murray’s writing style is comfy

Yea you are a retard. Here's a tip: if someone calls you ESL call them a nigger or ask how can you fix your English.

Kojima has genius-tier intelligence and there is nothing wrong with his dialogues.

As much as I liked mgs4 one of the reasons it was such a reconned mess was bc kojima had no fukushima to keep him in check so kojima basically fucked up his own story by adding too much shit. I still like kojima though he just needs a solid dev team!

Sometimes it is not about intelligence but more about experience.
Maybe you can find someone that manage to make a deep analysis on a particulary book thanks to a lucky coincidence of events that happened in his life (having a good professor knowledgeable in a specific subject helps a lot for example) but the same guy is incapable on understanding the easiest stuff from another book.
This is basically the reason people should read literature and talk about it. You learn from others and others learn from you, you are not capable of understand everything but that is what others are for

Wrong, utterly wrong. Hideo is the genius. Kojima is a hack. Why Kojima gets all the credit for what Hideo does is so beyond me.
