Been thinking on buying a remarkable 2 mostly for note taking. How does it fare as an eReader? Price is a bit steep, worth it?

If you're that obsessed with screens just get an ipad dude. It's designed for tech illterate normies so it's going to do everything you want it to do and not be a slow clunky pos

I already got an iPad air gen 4 with an apple pen2. Works great. But miss that paperlike feeling when drawing/scribbling. Hence my question.

Old trick from using graphics tablets back in the day- get a piece of vellum and clip it to the front of the ipad. the vellum is essentially transparent and it adds a texture to the front of your Ipad, which will work better than whatever chinkshit you posted does. this is infinitely cheaper than CONSOOOOOMing even more electronics to do functions that your current electronics already do. In fact, for added experience you can use thicker paper and a real pencil to write on, and get that authentic "I'm writing" feel.

fr fr though If I had a million dollars I'd invent a textured stickem screen protector that "grips" the apple pen so it "feels" like you're writing on paper.

reMarkable 2
- Worlds thinnest
- Next-generation paper tablet
- 10.3" Digital Notepad
- Convert Handwritten Notes
- Low Latency
- Touchscreen
>$299.00
you'd pay +$160 for a 7 inch tablet from Kobo

This is honestly better. Note taking on edevices is mostly just highlighting parts, which should be fine for most books. If you're going to write out your thoughts use a real piece of paper.

I love the idea of these but I do not think the technology is quite there yet to make them a replacement for paper.

Not him, but fountain pen was one of the best purchases I ever made, bought it for drawing so I could use water based inks without the hassle/lack of portability of dip pens and it ended up becoming my only pen, always gives me a smile when I sit down to write or draw and think of all the paper that has passed under its nib. Feels like it has become a part of me after all these years. I find it odd that people think nothing of buying a $800 phone that they will discard in a few years but $100 on a pen which will last their lifetime is too much.

I'm jealous. Which one is it?

It is something by Pilot, forget what model, just a basic black pen with a piston fill, think I spent $150 including the bottle of ink I also bought when I get it. I have been debating getting one of those $30 TWSBI things so I can have red ink for editing but I have been thinking about it for like 2 years now so I doubt my seriousness.
