Goethe studied law. He didn't spend all his time masturbating on an Indonesian basket weaving forum.

No, my point was that Goethe didn't take the literature pill and he lived a bad life.
Also, I don't study law.

If I got into a car crash and would come to learn in the ER that the doctor about to save my life uses the phrase “holy seethe” on a Castilian bull-fighting insurance forum, I would ask for a 9mm with a single bullet in the chamber and for the nurse to dim the lights and shut the door

I'm studying Law and I hate it, it's soulless, and most of the other students are despicable. I just do the bare minimum to pass, and spend most of my time either reading or writing. It's not like I will ever actually work as a Lawyer.

You do realize that there are many types of law, right? Stuff like corporate law is exclusively for workaholics who have zero issue working 16 hours a day, because work is what gives their life meaning. You obviously should not try to compete with these people if you want a job that actually gives you time to do other things

>it's not like i will ever actually work as a lawyer
Why? Just find a niche area of the law that lets you live a comfortable life and make your own hours. It's a valuable degree because you can do so many things with it. Hell, one of my professors talked about a lawyer friend who just chilled in Hawaii and cashed in on tourists getting into accidents during the summer. Law is definitely soulless if that's what you want to make it; but it doesn't have to be
