When did it acceptable for people irl to say they watch anime? I'm talking about adults over 30. How did this happen?

This is the UK, so it's not like we're some high variance place like the USA where you can be part of a nerd subculture.

This is shocking. Is this what being a literary elitist feels like? In this case of elitism I can articulate my thoughts well enough, since anime is mostly total pandering towards teenage weirdo males.
