What do you think it would take to make theater interesting again? Nowadays it's just political shitflinging. Surely theater must be about more than just echoing upper-middle class urbanite takes to people who already agree to them.

The festival of dionysus? I don't mean to excise political content from drama to begin with, I only wish that it is integrated in a less crude fashion. Ancient Greek drama usually integrates the values expressed into a larger framework rather than just beating you over the head with it directly.
