Or was he a one and done. Contemplating half ironically half unironically getting the entire series.

first thread I see on /lit/ after deciding to leave the site 6 months ago and people are still talking about this mediocrity. It's nice to know I made the right choice

Just look at him. Ready to drop for cock at any moment, what a slut. No wonder he frequents discord.

When is he going to start editing his drafts? I get that he published them all but it's just an early sneak peek yea?

I read through the entirety of Horror’s Call recently and it’s a mixed bag. But the twists are consistently great and trippy. But yea part of the appeal is the absolutely insane twists. Hope that answers your questions. So yea it’s not just CotC with the weird twist but that’s apparently the book that’s memed the most here

Also I think Ouroboros might be the most off the rails one. Either that or Call of the Arcade. As weird as Call of the Crocodile was I actually don’t think it’s even the weirdest of the bunch.

Do you prefer TeamSpeak?

Jigoku is really good. It’s like the best Pokémon fan fic that’s ever been written

Honestly it felt like a straight up asspull to me. Even just compared to other writers from /lit/, the twist at the 'end' of The Savage Green was way more satisfying and actually felt somewhat organic, not just the writer desperately floundering for random nonsense to keep his story interesting.

Have you heard of 4chan?

Best to jump in the deep end with it. It’s one of the better indie series out there.

shut the fuck up Garner. The books are literal trash. The prose is high school fan fiction tier. It's awful. It's not literature. Stop spamming this fucking board.

They’re unbelievably based. Spoilers for CotC.

Call of the Arcade is definitely better than Croc

Get a life. These books have been /lit/ memes for years. Go shit up another thread, you life loser.

>> No.20756591

>Poorly written unfortunately. Interesting concept but the writing is very amateurish. Changes tense from past to present within the same sentence. Characters are like cardboard cutouts that speak in cliches. Constant references to so many books and poems out of nowhere.

>Sorry to the author but this is really awful. Best to try just a simple story without all the over the top quotes and philosophical stuff. It comes off as trying to be deeper than it is. Hopefully the author can work on creating realistic characters who's speech comes across naturally too. I wish the author luck.

Kek. Exactly how I'd imagine a book by someone who regularly browses lit would be.

Cormac McCarthy does the same shit with the tense shifts. Who cares. Like it or not, Horror’s Call is the best series 4chan has thus far. Which books have you even read?

Wow this sounds kino

>> No.20756801

>>20756659
McCarthy's tense shifts are intentional and actually make grammatical sense.

I was more referring to how I would expect a book by someone who browses /lit/ regularly to pepper in shallow interpretations of their favorite philosophers and influences without presenting a clear vision or original artistic statement of their own.

Call of the Cherokee is the best Gardner book.
