What are some good pens? What is your weapon of choice?

>> No.20753166

Pilot G2 0.7 gell roller, black, 2 euros for a piece
I consider my pen problem solved for life

>> No.20753182

>>20753166
Yeah the pilot g2 is the only pen you'll ever need to consider buying. Cheap enough to bring with you everywhere and not worry about losing it or giving it to someone, lasts long, sturdy, comfy to hold, and easy to find.
I don't get pen autism aside from minmaxing quality and price. Everything "beyond" the pilot is just diminishing returns.

I prefer a fountain pen, but in terms of practicality something like a pilot g2 is the best. Fountain pens are nice, but take a lot of effort to maintain in a functional state - refilling the ink, washing it out, being careful not to drop it or shake it, etc. That said, they offer the best writing experience imo.

Why would you ever write with a ballpoint pen rather than a mechanical pencil or felt tip?
People use ballpoints for signatures and such because they're sturdy, but the aforementioned are very effective and producing legible writing with a sturdy cheap and uncomplicated tool.

Apparently I have kung-fu grip.

I didn't realize how uncomfortable I was until I switched to a pen with an alpha-gel grip. Looks stupid and is more expensive but I can write for hours straight now. I would highly recommend a fat pen with a cushy grip to anyone who presses down or holds the pen to hard, seriously changed my writing.
