Thomas Pynchon is writing a new book titled “The Socconphony Dilemma”

Set in the Bay Area in the 2010s, Douglas Udine, a conservative father from Staten Island attempts to get in touch with his long lost son, Shepherd, following his wife’s sudden death. His son is a gifted computer scientist from Cornell working at a growing social media site. He dives into the world of fashion, drug manufacturing, venture capital, millennial/boomer divide, and the gender identity his son has gone through to live as a woman.
