How much does physically holding a book contribute to your enjoyment of said book?

They’re not usually that heavy these days. Don’t let your wrists get so emaciated. Read real books and give em a workout psaor

Depends on the book. If it's a book I love, like Don Quixote, then I absolutely will enjoy it more. But if it's a generic shitty YA novel that women read, then I would be more inclined to just read it off an e-reader or just my computer (lol).

I never thought I'd see myself reading books digitally, but have been doing so lately, and while I'm thankful to be able to access some books that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to read, it kind of sucks. This has made me appreciate holding a book in my hands more. But soon I will get an e reader and it will suck less than laptop reading.

I have a habit of making small rips and tears in the page as I'm reading, just tweaking the corner until it rips or pulling the page a bit too hard from the seam. It makes reading feel way more satisfying, and as I'm quite a restless person it helps to discharge that energy and keep me focused. Plus it's an easy way to mark my progress, I never need bookmarks.

100%. People say you can't read an audiobook, and they're right. Because virtual books in general are not something you read. You cant' be sure that a ebook even has the correct words in it. It could all be made up by some false link or hacker. If you don't feel the pages in your hands, you didn't read it.

None. Books are genuinely cumbersome to read with one hand.

It reduces it, I prefer to read through my ereader, or even my phone.

You can unzip an epub file and get the XML containing the text of the book. You can't read an audiobook because it's one or multiple audio files. You shouldn't see them as books, they're closer to albums.
For the paranoia part, you should try to learn more about this, and if someone is going to hack your book, I don't understand why they wouldn't replace your copies of other books too.

Very much. There's just something in holding an actual physical book that an Ebook Reader or Computer can't recreate. Some aspects I like are:

>Simply the feeling of the pages of the book.
>The Smell of the Book when it's new.
>If it's a hardback, putting the dustcover on and off.

None at all. It just makes me feel a little more pretentious in public since someone can't assume I'm scrolling through instagram like when I read on my phone.

Im not going to lie. I judge book by the cover and more likely to pick a new book than read to pieces one.

I usually read electronically, then buy a copy if I really enjoyed a book.
It’s nice to flip back and forth between pages easily with a proper physical book.
