This is what I hate about my generation. No one actually reads and they go to any length to avoid it. The ones that "do read" are only reading schlock like this and other YA genre fiction. There are children's books worth a read like treasure island and watership down but everyone keeps going for the harry potter clones. They aren't reading, they're watching tv through text. This is why "waking up" from zoomer culture was both the best and hardest thing to do. It's like Plato's Cave but its only you whose escaped. You feel lonely and angry at this bullshit problem that shpulden't exist and that the answer is so simple for.

I know for a fact past generations didn't spend a third of their life staring at their hands. I know past generations lived closer together and you could go to a friend's house just like that. I know young men didn't waste hours on video games and played sports or developed actual skills and spent most of the day outside. I know that past generations couldn't just 'block' someone and were forced to sort things out when they inevitably ran into eachother. I know past generations of men had thrice the amount of testosterone we have. That you didn't have to deal with fags and trannies. I know that past geberations had a much wider attention span and that great classics of literature were mandatory to learn in school instead of the hunger games (which they still let you pass with top marks if you only watched the movie). Women weren't fat she-beasts, men were masculine and you had a good idea what was waiting for you when you got home from work.
If you actually look at older generations it is irrefutable to claim you have been robbed. Robbed of relationships, robbed of family, robbed of enlightenment.

>The nuclear family has been the most damaging creation to families
Nice try schlomo.
This is completely stupid reasoning. Care for the elderly has been a staple of every civilisation and is still heavily practiced and emphasised in non-American capitalist countries today. In fact the discarding of the elderly was practiced in socialist countries because they couldn't afford to feed them without starving themselves. The destruction of the family unit leads to more elderly being sent to die in homes. You could move out and start a family at 18 because housing was cheaper and jobs were better paying and plentiful. And ypu were still in contact with community. Modern socialist policies like rent control and minimum wage ruined this, a lot of the time with the direct intent to do so (see minimum wage against lower capacity workers like the physically/mentally disabled). You just want to blame capitalism for everything instead of actually thinking.

No, strictly speaking the main cause of this is the dialectic of Marxism and Capitalism.
You had a synthesis (Fascism) that was rejected by both and torn down, which left the only possibility being a new synthesis, or holding onto the status quo, so both took some ideas from the other, and that's where you get these unholy abominations like Social Democracies or "State Capitalism".

Many books aren’t any different than watching an episode of a tv show or shitty movie. “Retain” is a meme when you’re discussing mass market books. Also this is what people used to read before tv. What do you think a pulp author did? Western adventures for pennies were popular. Sherlock Holmes is dressed up as literature now but was actually just a popular franchise in a mass circulation magazine. It’s like reading an old airport book.

People quoted Aasimov and Philip K Dick. Lovecraft is another entirely separate beast. You really think this modern genre fic will be as remembered? Outside of Harry Potter pribably not. There's a reason these older authors were remembered despite making accessible, "popular" works, because you can read for understanding and entertainment in the same work. It's genius to be able to create works of such high stature in such easy to consume forms for the public. Good books were worth remembering and good books are tge only ones worth reading. None of what I read is super obscure. I love Gaddis, Nabokov, any hipster shit pushed out by NYRB, and Pynchon. If I saw somebody regularly discussing books like JR or M&D or Journey by Moonlight I would probably listen, and I could easily see myself rambling into a camera about why a certain doorstopper is worth reading or how Pynch uses the supernatural, I make long effortposts on here about things like that all the time.

>can you read 7 books a day like her
Do you want to know why she is a retard? Because she says she "read" 7 books.

This is not an accomplishment, because books are not about reading. They are about "understanding", "retaining", or however you want to call the process of improving through a book.

Also look at her books... I wouldn't even "read" this trash if you would pay me.

There would be a very simple test to see if she really can even read ONE book in a day.
>wait until a new book is released
>give her the book on release day and say that she has to answer short questions (like 100 in 10 minutes) about the book
I can guarantee you that she will maybe be lucky if she even gets 10 right answers.

I have seen it all the time when people claim that they "read" a book and it turned out they were just turning pages.

Also, I know literally all secret ways of reading and I can guarantee you that she reads slow af (or with nearly zero retention), simply by watching a few seconds of the video of how she "reads" the books.

If you know the secrets of reading and learning, you can instantly see when someone reads a book if he is a killer and slays the book like there is no tomorrow, or if it's a retard like this "7 quadrillion books a day" page turning.

If you really want to prove women are different, or at least distinguish yourself from then, you won't be able to do that here.
Why? because this site is the great equializer. no face, no names, no genitals known = automatically masculine. This should be splendid to you if you really think women are equal, because all you have to do is prove your ideas are worthwhile regardless of your genitals.
But you didn't say this to prove women are different. You want validation FOR being that different woman. You're embarassing yourself trying to prove ypur point by bragging about muh languages and muh early reading (as if every other shmuck here didn't have the same story) on an anonymous paper making forum, to random sweaty people who don't care.

>>20665782
That's why you apologized here and made excuses. You feel embarassed, you want the inherent assumption that you're capably intelligent back. That's alright, I feel pity for you because I was once you. But you'll learn that there's a reason there are no women on the internet.

There are, plenty of them. They will never say they are women because it takes from their credibility. This will always be the great equalizer, where the intelligence and creativity of your ideas are the only thing you need.
If you can't do that, I'd suggest reading some more and coming back later as a new person.
Cause the truth is I love seeing other women here that simply present ideas - I know them by their typing styles and word choice. The ones who pretend they can still use their bodies to gain attention in an attempt to prove men wrong are only proving their point.
