Go police other threads that are blatantly off topic. Rest assured I’ll make posts threads about it as I make my way through

Purchasing a book doesn't mean you've read it. Your picture does not back up your claim.

Kind of weird you'd prove ownership of a book by posting an easily faked screenshot than the actual book. Want to tell us something kiddo?

I’m not one of the ones saying you’ve never read it. What are your thoughts without giving anything away? I decided to give Powys a shot because many of my favorites like him. Anything I should keep in mind?

I bought this last year and threw it away almost immediately along with Wolf Soilent and three different translations of Rabelais. Enjoy the money, Mr. BEZOS.

He was never particularly popular at any point, he's purely a cult figure. He wrote long, eccentric meandering books with limited appeal to the general reader. And although his most important works were giant tomes they're not the sort of barely readable pomo "Final Boss" books that the sort of people who generally like giant tomes adore. And despite all their eccentricity and psychological depth, structurally they're traditional novels in the 19th century tradition. Additionally a few of the books were abridged by publishers and only recently released in full.
Here's the transcript of a talk George Steiner gave called "The Difficulties of Reading John Cowper Powys"
