Looking for /lit/ of chaste and pure romance that leads to marriage like the one's of our grand parents.

The works of Jane Austen, the best ones are Pride and Prejudice and Mansfield Park.
Modern romance is gonna have more sex and less romance, but...
Me Before You
Crazy Rich Asians
Eleanor and Park
To All the Boys I've Loved Before
Dash & Lily's Book of Dares

What's the 3rd one worth reading? I've only read Persuasion and I don't remember anything (years ago), but my female friend sent me the following quote as her favorite, so ig that's good?

>You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone for ever. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you almost broke it, eight years and a half ago. Dare not say that man forgets sooner than woman, that his love has an earlier death. I have loved none but you

The inspiration for my diary has to come from somewhere

Well, you could just... cheat.
Watch the following movies/miniseries and then read the ones you end up liking.
>Sense and Sensibility (1995)
>Pride and Prejudice (1995 or 2005)
>Mansfield Park (1999)
>Emma (2020)
>Persuasion (2022, comes out in a few weeks)
>Love & Friendship (2016, actually an adaptation of Lady Susan)
And then Northanger Abbey is the gothic satire book that has some kino jabs at pseudo-intellectuals. I guess you could watch Ruby in Paradise but it's a loose adaptation.

Is Pride and Prejudice from 1995 worth watching? Does it portray Mr. Darcy more faithfully than the 2005 version? I'm asking because I've watched it to consider whether the INTJxENFP Golden Pairing might actually be inspired by fiction. MBTI ascertained by functions is valid and as it happens, both I and Mr. Darcy are INTJs, whereas Elizabeth is an ENFP. I couldn't find any reason why functionally speaking this would be an ideal pairing (already being skeptical about using MBTI for anything more than self-improvement), and all the ENFPs that I have interacted with are obnoxious

It fucking sucks when you see all the premarital sex between teens being praised in anime. When you it out you get laughed at. Kaguya sama made me fume how sexual middle schoolers were
