What does that even mean? Losers in society are always hoping for this. The Marxists have wanted collapse since the 1800s. American racists have wanted a race war since the 1860s. This type of highly ideological reject is the exact same audience groomed by Peterson's flaccid intellect. And yet the actual cascading failure our world-system seems to be facing is likely to be either due to warfare or ecological collapse, which would just mean even further "moral decline" and certainly a decline of the sort of culture that comes with economic surplus.

I do, because actual historical collapse has to do with external conflict, resource exhaustion, and intra-system competition which becomes unsustainable, not people's feelings. There's no reference point for where we reached some apex of morality and started declining because morals serve functional purposes for whatever dominant culture is in power, hence larceny gets more hatred than taxation.
