The Bibble EXPLICITLY states that women should be murdered if they learn how to read.

Society is collapsing.

mass literacy was a mistake, what's the point of teaching plebs how to read? so they can understand the back of the cheeto bag or so they can gobble up this pulpy shit no better than a netflix show?

This is an attempt to make books seem boring to people
Some girl is going to pick up a book like that and read it while pretending it's entertaining, but deep inside she will just start hating books. "Books are boring, believe me, I tried reading them"

you know that lit doesn't read books, let alone contemporary ones.

i read A Little Life. it was fine. it at least has a little more going for it than all the YA romance up there.

I've read We Were Liars during one of those moments of absolute boredom, it was okay, I guess. It was one of those stories where there is a lot of potential, but it could have used more work.
It's basically about three generations of a family obsessed with keeping appearances, only it all starts to fall apart after grandma dies. The twist became rather obvious long before happening, but it was a nice touch that the main character was the one to accidentally kill them through her own stupidity.

Imagine letting your kids read this shit when there are masterpieces at lower prices. Also the political agenda is pretty clear from most of those books: faggotry, homosexuality (lesbians mostly), insane amounts of witchcraftery.

Ofcourse but that's kinda on them too. There's only so much handholding you can do to educate the youth. Adults have even less excuses. This only fucks up female authorship in the long term because women with something new and interesting to say won't get published. I do loathe social media for making the younger peeps believe the world only has shitty romcoms to offer. A tragedy alright.

I tried reading A Little Life, but I found the pacing to be absolutely horrible and it was hard to care about anyone or just the story. The torture porn was cool though, Jude deserved to get beaten and raped.

Other than that I only recognize about 3 books. I've tried very hard to stay away from shitty book that TikTok retards are paid to promote.

I will never understand how A Little Life got onto TikToker’s to-read lists. It’s so far out of their literate ballpark and relentlessly depressing, standing at 800 pages. Never trust any influencer who says they’ve read it.

I saw this section in a bookstore. They also had a display of books about being gay. Meanwhile their entire classics section was the size of a half width Billy bookcase and sparsely filled.
