Okay /lit/, so begins our Greek study group. By popular demand we are using the Reading Greek series. Your first assignment is pages 1-7 of the volume. The vocabulary in the vocabulary check can be found in the volume on text and vocabulary

Please note that the pronunciation given for the alphabet is not the one Greeks use. Much Ado About Nothing was originally pronounced Much Ado About Noting making a pun (noting meant taking an interesting in someone), but we don’t perform it with that pronunciation. Likewise Greeks just read old texts in their contemporary pronunciation.

Does anyone have a link to a recording of the text? I read it but feel like my pronunciation is completely wrong.

yeah its on zlib. its really fucking bad though. i would suggest listening to PodiumArts' recordings and using them as a blueprint to your pronunciation.

I don’t but there is supposedly a Cd to accompany it you can get, Speaking Greek. It’s mentioned in the books
