How can one instantiate the Ancient Greek ideal of masculinity in these degenerate times?
1) The first step is to understand that the modern West is in a moral and cultural decline. We can look to Plato’s Republic as a guide to how to restore the Western ideals of manhood.
2) To create a man, one must begin by accepting one’s own weakness and imperfections. The great philosopher Aristotle said that manhood is acquired by practicing virtue. The Stoics understood manhood as being in harmony with nature.
3) The Greeks believed that the physical body was like a vessel that had to be prepared and strengthened before it could be filled with the divine. This preparation could only be done through the development of the mind, body and soul.
