Is there good profit to be earned by churning out books and shilling them on 4chan?

How many people have checked out your book from the library? I assume those are library stickers. Also how many sales have you had?

>> No.20410609

>>20410585
Sales: both books combined it must be getting towards a thousand copies now.
Library borrowings: pretty steady, there's about a dozen copies in various libraries and they get checked out pretty regular.
I am still nowhere near being able to quit my day job of course.

What are your books about? Sale them to me. I refuse to be beaten over the head with the tired tale of "racism is bad"

>> No.20410650

>>20410625
The first book (on the right in pic) is a collection of stories loosely based on my years living and working in remote roadhouses in various parts of Australia.
Second book (left side in pic) is more mixed. Stories based on my time in the Australian Army, stories based on my misspent youth etc.
I'm heavily influenced by writers like W. Somerset Maugham and Charles Bukowski.

I got knocked back by several publishers early on because of a lack of diversity. It seems you are more likely to have a successful literary career if you conform and say what they want you to say.

I just read Limbo's Rainbow and I'm writing an extensive review. Realistically, it is a waste of time to read any of these as you will only be stupider for having done so. The books have no value and they're not horror books.

4chan shriller fiction is a genre all it’s own. A genre that defies description, self-reflection, and even fundamental good taste. But anyway, The Savage Green is a surrealist adventure story set in the Florida panhandle, wherein a paramilitary contractor is hired to track down a rogue scientist who has gone missing in the deep tangle of kudzu and thornery which lines the highways of the Deep South, known as The Savage Green. Along the way, he finds himself fighting viscous wildlife, hostile locals, and powerful supernatural forces. Free PDFs & epub available at zulualitspa@gmail.com

I gave up on this book about 60 pages in. It's an OK idea for a book, but the writing style is really bad and I just couldn't get past it. It was just exhausting to read.

Pic related is an actual quote from the book, page 7

There's also this weird repetition of unimportant words sometimes four or five times within the same paragraph that's super noticeable, like "place" or "said" that make it seem like it's written by a kid. If that's deliberate then good job, I guess but it was just too much for me.

Are there pdfs of these books anywhere? I read an excerpt from Call of the Crocodile and it was genuinely the worst writing and prose I've ever come across, but it left me with a morbid desire for more.
