Quine doesn't really talk about Hegel in that book though. The second half of the book is more interesting than the first half by the way.

That fucker was a sad sack of shit. Like Foucault and Kripke.

True philosophers abide by the retrogressive method as outlined in the timaeus and revert the flow of semen up the spine to nourish the brain. Judging by Russells sex life he never mastered this technique and so cannot be counted as a philosopher

I’m on chapter 3 so far. I love how it builds up so far with the Gavagai conditioning talk about how meaning is locally centralized and not universal.

It’s pretty rad. I’d like to say this dude really influenced a lot of cog psych with the 2 modes of thinking before Kahneman and Tversky’s studies.

He’s definitely got that radical constructivist thinking, but tries to be more constructive credulist. Not necessarily strip experience away, but information, which is really “speaking nonsense.”

Hard to believe we still adopt superstitions locally lol

If Hegel never existed the world would be a better place and this is an open invite to anybody who can try and prove otherwise. Hegel weaponised the retards,

I’d like to say Engels, Marx and Herbert Spencer had a lot to do with that before influencing shit generations like Bertrand Russel and BF Skinner.

Such a shame that Quine was a contemporary too.
