What are your favorite short story collections? I've finished Borges' collections and I'm mind blown. I think I really dog the short story format.

I feel a bit silly because I already mentioned them in another thread today, but The Extraordinary Adventures and The confessions of Arsene Lupin are my absolute favorite, I cat read them over and over.

Borges' Ficciones is one of my favourite books, it's incredible. Dubliners are also great.

I'm a big fan of the short story format as well, OP. I recommend any Gogol stories you can get your hands on, especially The Nose and The Overcoat; Nine Stories by JD Salinger; another vote for Dubliners; Kafka's stories Country Doctor and A Hunger Artist; and the little-known but well-wrought collection My Date with Satan by Stacey Richter.
