20343140 No.20343140 [Reply] [Original]

New independent bookstore just opened a couple miles from my house. It is really small and kind of crappy. I don't think it is going to last. Popped in the other day and chatted with the female proprietor for a few minutes. Very plain Jane bookish type, but kind of a milf. I'm planning to pop in maybe once a week to buy a new book. What should I get in order to subtly seduce her?

Ask her what she'd recommend, then come back and we'll gladly psychoanalyze her in the most misogynistic ways imaginable.

That sounds like a good move. Will do later this week. I actually do enjoy reading recommendations from people who are from very different walks of life that I would never otherwise consider reading.

Depends what she liked about it, why did she recommend it to you? Desu just recommending something to someone only because you enjoyed it is a woman moment in itself

probably based on the books i previously bought there?
anyways, i really liked both of the books so i'm thankful for her recommendations, doesn't really matter why she recommended them to me

Seems like a pretty typical "trans"gender statement, lol.

it has a big fat "Bestseller" sticker on the cover in my country; Stoner isn't really obscure anymore, in fact it hasn't been for almost a decade now

OP here. Planning to go back to the shop on Wednesday or Thursday. If I can get any chemistry going, I'll post an update. She was at least pretty friendly with me when I went in last week so it could be interesting. I'll make sure to include a few details so that if she is sitting there browsing /lit/ all day, she'll know its her.

Oscar Wilde seems to be popular with the ladies. Try getting some of his early plays. Even though some of them are terrible or got outright copied into PoDG you'll get points for the obscure factor.

OP can support local business and provide some excitement in the life of the proprietress. Of course, OP is a /lit/ poster, so his misguided advances are probably more likely to get him hit with a restraining order.
