Can I get some light YA parody similar to Discworld so I can listen to its audiobooks when I go to sleep? I've depleted my interests on the series when I finished reading the last Watch book, I can't stand Death or the wizards or anything with nac mac feegles or some standalone, at least we got little Sam and his fascination with poo but now that ended too

Help?

The death books were the best ones

I'm trying to sleep, not to be remembered constantly of the irrevocable nature of being alive to end up in death personified in a huge skeleton with shining blue eyes

I believe this might be the sort of thing you're looking for:

"The Sprouts of Wrath"
The fourth part of the "Brentford Trilogy". Amazing, but true, Brentford Town Council has agreed to host the next Olympic Games. However, something sinister is afoot in Brentford, and it is up to the regulars of The Flying Swan to save the world as we know it.
Author: Robert Rankin
First published: 1988
Genre: Parody
Series: The Brentford Trilogy

Why was this show so shit? Such a pity; Vimes wasn't even that bad.

Nor the new Death. Nor the setting remake, really; steampunk discworld is viable. Nor the snide death with tone inflections. Nor abandoning Lady Sybil fat daft lady persona for a dark-skinned athletic tomboy. Angua is pretty much female Sabretooth anyways, and the tranny tall dwarf is consistent with the non-gendered dwarfs, and even dwarfs being tall isn't that much of a twist.

They genderbent Vertinari. Charles Dance will always be Vertinary. And killed Detritus. You know, the imperishable troll was killed. By crossbows. That did me in.
