So I reread The Count of Monte Cristo and holy hell I enjoyed it. It was a required book in like 9th grade and I didn't like it. Just started college and decided to read it again.

Anyone else done this?
Also what do you think of The Count of Monte Cristo?

Also I'm fairly certain I saw some poster in demotivational form about the the book that listed all the shit Edmond did to get revenge. Anybody have that?

I actually enjoyed The Count of Monte Cristo, although I never read it in high school.
I will agree though taht things I hated in high school due to 'forced reading' was actually okay once I left. I guess I just didn't like the way schools did things.

It's a series?

I plan to read The Man In The Iron Mask as my next Dumas novel later in the year. Decent second novel to read by Dumas?

What does the three musketeers have to do with it? And are there more Monte Cristo books or did I interpret that wrong?

Can't say anything about The Count of Monte Cristo, since I haven't read it yet.

When I was in school (age somewhere between 14 and 16) we had to read the first part of Goehte's Faust. At that time it was kinda ok, but not interesting. So I didn't hate it, but also didn't like it.

Reread it a while ago and I really thought it was awesome. I also noticed, that I liked a lot of things about it, that I disliked before.

btw. I am German
