People in this board will say: "yeh I'm mostly reading "non"-fiction these days" then proceed to list:
>the ramblings of 20th century philosophers
>books on meme political systems that will never be applied in the real world
>history books which are riddled with inaccuracies at best, but usually straight up lies
>books on "sciences" like economics, psychology, sociology
>biography/travel/adventure book which is only labeled 'non-fiction' because the author prefaced the work with 'just trust me bro, this is how it went down'
"Non"-fiction readers are the worst. You are more deluded than genre-fags. Even /sffg/ is aware that they're reading fiction lmao.

The Bible is the only non fiction book ever written.

I've actually been having a bit of a crisis about this. I can't decide if I actually want to invest a lot of time reading history and western philosophy. It interests me, but I'm not sure if will add anything to my life

I'm currently reading an anthropology book. It's alright so far, most of what it's said on the book is things you learned at highschool but I'm waiting for the good part to come(if it does).
Why am I telling you this? Because no one in the real world is interested

He got knocked retarded by a van after years of knocking himself retarded with coke and booze. After book four the series goes completely to shit and it was honestly pretty dumb even before that.

I like the very ending of Dark Tower otherwise yes book 4 was the last good one.
I would say Gunslinger is exceptionally good and different from a lot that I've read. It's standalone in a way.>>20252851

people waste thousands of hours without a second thought on crap like fantasy novels, video games, and learning the clarinet and you're worried about history and philosophy wasting your time. tell me, what if anything WOULDN'T be a waste of your time?

Bros we're all just looking at stupid squiggles on a computer screen that objectively don't mean anything and are impossible to verify the meaning of with another individual outside of our own thoughts.
