What does /lit/ think of Scott Westerfield?
Particularly the Leviathan series?
(I only read Leviathan and Behemoth)

Are any of his other books worth reading?
Is anyone here excited for the release of Goliath?

My only complaint about his books is that sometimes his vocabulary is painfully dull.

I just finished both of those.
The first half of Leviathan was pretty good, and overall I quite liked it. Behemoth had a decent start, and an alright ending, but I didn't really enjoy the setting and new characters. I can't really say I'm looking forward to Goliath, seeing as how its continually drifting away from what I expected in the series. The premise (WWI with monsters and combat walkers) is what brought me in, and I was sort of expecting some more epic European steampunk battles, not diplomacy and teenage romance.
All said and done though, I think they're pretty good. The artwork is fucking stellar, I probably wouldn't have taken note of these had it not been for Keith Thompson's art.

OP. What website is your picture from? I remember looking at his art a while back.

Anytime bro.
Be sure to check all his other shit too though, he has some really damn good illustrations.
As some other anon stated above, his art really makes the book just that much more interesting (IMO).
