I don't think people hate women btw - men just hate women who pretend at being men as much as they hate men pretending at being women. It has everything to do with accepting fate - gender is part of our fallen state and playing that role somewhat well means accepting our nature as human beings. I personally love women and feminity more than men and masculinity, but I find feminism stifles the former and makes women into the latter. Most men can't admit that they don't hate women but they hate that there are no more women, or mothers, or matriarchs, just girls are birth control.

Just to dig into this - my wife and I both work and my mom worked all while I grew up. My wife basically needs to work at this point because Gen Z'ers have birth control priced into our market - so you can't have a stay at home wife. When my wife cooks breakfast on the weekend I will sometimes tear up because of how starved I am for femininity. I don't hate women, I hate that women have stopped being women. If you're a man on this board in you're early 20s or late teens, you might never have had a full time mother or wife and they resent women for it. It's probably misplaced and should be a policy question but I hope this helps.

They are? When I was still lurking the boards there were numerous threads about "le female scientist took credit for something she hasn't done herself" or just shits similar to /lit/. They're more obsessed with race baiting maybe.

It's weird to have watched the progress of this website and of internet culture in general toward normalized misogyny. I wasn't sure whether we would become a total simp culture or a bitterly misogynistic one with a matrix of simp-thot frosting on top, for a while there. I was on /r9k/ almost from the board's founding, and on /v/ and other boards before that. Misogyny was always common on 4chan, but it wasn't the overwhelming default or banal even on /r9k/. /r9k/ was unique in making the default culture into woman hate but this only made it infamous and thus drew most of the tourist normalfags and whore women on the site there. Even on /r9k/ you could never really get an echo chamber of woman hate going, you always felt like it was an uphill battle to be flatly misogynistic because you'd always get replies calling you a virgin etc. These were the pre-incel days.

/r9k/'s culture spread to most of the internet but it was mostly the fun, funny, self-deprecating parts, and normalfags didn't understand even those fully.

With the emergence of the normalized simp economy I thought a new generation of oversocialized young simps would be less likely to appreciate casual misogyny as a defensive strategy against the current state of women, but surprisingly the opposite happened and it seems like a thick layer of default disdain has formed even in surprisingly normal men. I honestly thought there was no limit to how normalized simping could become in men, so I assumed we were about to see a generation with zero defenses against shit like 50% of young women having onlyfans accounts, and advertising them to their own acquaintances as a consolation prize for not fucking them.

I don't even hate women that much, I mostly hate simps and I think a healthy disdain for degenerate behavior from the other sex and a willingness to judge them for it is a good defense against more simps developing. I don't see the current misogyny as all that serious really.

I'm just glad we didn't go the alternate route of totally normalized mass simping. I was fully expecting "sex work" to be pushed by the mainstream, like the tranny thing was pushed, until every girl over 16 had an onlyfans. Clearly indulgent millennial parents aren't doing anything to stop this, since they also enable all the tranny shit. I wasn't expecting young men to develop natural defenses against it.

I know, I found this surprising too. But I've asked the autistic women I know used to be regular 4chan users, and they said they have slowly drifted away and they do find it jarring to read misogyny. My immediate response was obviously that it's just banter, to relax etc., and that I don't find it jarring when people tell me to kill myself or call me a retarded faggot. But even these highly autistic women said they find it jarring and inhospitable despite knowing all that.
