This. In the version I read the author claimed that there are thousands upon thousands of untranslated tablets still lying around from decades ago because there are literally not enough competent assyriologists to translate them all in a timely fashion. He deems it a certainty that at some unspecified point in the future we'll have a more or less complete version of the Gilgamesh myth.
