Does anyone have any recommendations or reading lists for Taoism?

The big ones are the Tao Te Ching and the Zhuangzi. The Lieh-tzu is considered important as well but isn't as read afaik.

Check out Dao De Jing: A Philosophical Translation for the first. I think a lot of people read the Burton Watson translations as well. The Lieh-Tzu has a translation by Eva Wong, idk if there are any others.

For further reading, check out some of Thomas Cleary's translations of Taoist texts. You may also find the book Genuine Pretending by Hans-Georg Moeller & Paul J. D'Ambrosio interesting if you want to see what a decent modern interpretation of Taoism looks like. Have fun!

Read Taoism The Enduring Tradition by Russell Kirkland
It's the best overview of Taoism

Confucianism and Buddhism exerted a lot of influence on the later developments of Daoism, if you actually investigate the Daoist tradition instead of sticking to the Daodejing and Zhuangzi this will become apparent. I'm not saying you have to agree with them, but you should at least read a little to get an idea of what was going on in China.
