20142897 No.20142897 [Reply] [Original]

Any books that explain why lgbt+ is much more common in highly individualist and capitalist nations?

The speakers in the Symposium argue that erotic relations between males, as well as gymnastics and philosophy, are prerequisites for free societies.

>> No.20142929

It's common in urbanized societies. I suspect it's a social response to overpopulation, a sort of genetic self-righting ability for humanity, that is perhaps not able to function properly in a post-famine world.

>> No.20142931

Then explain why SE Asia is full of trannies.

If you are a frog, even relatively more pro-Government intervention, family-centered societies like Portugal and Spain are far more lgbt friendly than France.

So I would say it's a fairly more nuanced subject than just correlating individualism=capitalism=wokism.

Has to do with (g)a(y)theism.

Modernization implies a transfer of allegiance from the stable family unit to the stable political party, governments achieve this by destabilizing the family unit. Expropriation demands it. That's how it happened in the UK and US - plant the seed of oppression, redefine roles and reduce the value of domestic labor to devalue women generally, generating ennui and resentment for literal centuries. Until, men are women and women are men and everybody is loyal to the same corporatist state that loves to subsidize every surgery and tax every dildo the disenfranchised Mexican Megs are pushed purchase through blackfishing schemes. Tocqueville addresses in L'Ancien Régime et la Révolution (1856).

This is fatuous nonsense from pederasts.

It's not. Homosexuality is really common in Muslim countries, that's why they have such harsh penalties for it.

Then why did the Soviet Union criminalize homosexuality?

>This is fatuous nonsense from pederasts.
It seems to be true for the same reasons that families are subversive of governmental power. Bonds of intimacy between free citizens, like those between Socrates and his pupils, are threatening to governmental power. The speakers in the dialogue point out the tyrannicidal actions of lover pairs like Harmodius and Aristogeiton, and the preponderance of homosexuality in free Greek cities as opposed to those ruled by barbarians.

There’s your answer, liberalism values the individual being free to do what they want and indulge their basest urges no matter how unhealthy they are. Why Liberalism Failed discusses this (though not directly in relation to lgbt). It’s not just the anti-family thing or whatever, those factors compound but it isn’t the source of it, a moral father wouldn’t abandon his son because the latter is gay (doing so exposes the father as being even more contaminated by anti-familial individualism), he would try to encourage his son away from the worst aspects of that world.

Yeah but that's wrong. "Collectivist" societies (as if there is a meaningful distinction) are filled with active homosexual recruiting. Diddling becomes not just something that happens, but an organized and semi-open activity that kids are expected to go along with.

post-marxist stuff: critical theory and adorno's essays come pretty close. zizek touches on this too. allow me to try and describe it:
the same way marxist theory accidentally birthed fascism, critical "race" theory accidentally birthed identity politics.
even the name crt is self-defeating. it was originally critical theory, and only in america was it dangerously misinterpreted upon the insertion of the "race" complex. now, the race isn't supposed to mean a racial social construct. instead, race is supposed to mean (in my humble opinion) the human race. but if you're an american who hasn't read hegel and you see "race" juxtaposed with words like "slave" and "master" you'lll think the germans are talking about racism apropos the american canon.
when you turn on american tv, there's a lot of minority representation, no? immigrants, muslims, mixed raced couples, obese women, lgbt, anything but a "rich educated white hetero, cisman." why is this? 10 years ago this was unimaginable. no way there's been THIS much social progress in just a decade. and there hasn't. these corporations putting minorities in ads isn't to champion diversity, it's to sell more product and make profit off of said minorities and anyone who unconsciously pities them. that's the new target consumer. self-identifying fit, rich, white, educated, straight men aren't buying junkfood, cheap beer, used cars, cut-throat insurance, they're buying expensive seafood and wine, flying jets, etc.
it's just the new aesthetic. capitalism is putting the veil of diversity over these uneducated minorities who say "thank you corporation! thank you for letting ME--a poor, uneducated, obese, disabled, mixed-raced, homosexual transgender muslim--consume the product! give me more!" I'm using hyperbole but i hope you get the point. all this marxist and post-marxist ideology is STILL plagued by hegels dialectic that inevitably favors capitalism.
