Serious question. Where should I start with Bakker?

If you were to read Hammer's slammers from the perspective of the military branch that deals the most(army-cavalry and some mech infantry) you would realize that it's actually capturing the spirit of that service too by talking about why they must be the way the are because they have to face their own specific struggles and have to do it with certain profiles of people.

For example: The warrior, it's about the difference between a soldier and a warrior, but from the perspective of a tanker.

But what if hammers slammers wasn't based around cavalry but around an air squadron? Now that story would be quite different as the idea of warrior vs soldier has very different connotations for airmen. And of course, the obstacles that the air force has to overcome are very different with people that tend to be safer in air bases but also much more specialized and technical.

So, when I asked for "whats the air force equivalent of Hammer's slammers" I was asking about a book that deals with the same things but from that perspective.

Any good military sf that is non p***ed? I have read several less known/self published works and they turned out to be almost anti military, dealing with current year issues in the military. Absolute trash. Any sf where mil chads just shot some brown alien trannys?

Well don't know if it's sffg but gunship ace is a self-published book about the life of South African mercenary Neill Ellis, which was hyped by /k/ but wasn't really that much about what they said.

Also, "the bear went over the mountain"

Start here, but what is important is understanding the creative power of Bakker, If you are high IQ, you will be able to understand Bakker.

Three Pound Brain blog if you don't mind his occasionally screeching about drumpf. I didnt but after completing the TSA series found out that the blog contains a lot of elucidations on the series themes. There's an extensive appendix of lore you can read at the end of Thousandfold Thought and a fanmade History of Earwa, although I'm not sure how spoilery it is.
