My this is another thread. Many like these have been made. Mere words on my monitor. Merry and anguished people posting among private peers.

My prostate is a half deflated sand-filled balloon, swelling and pulsing, somehow turgid and desiccated both. My tiny flaccid penis shrivels up inside me, red and numb. My butthole puckers and sighs. 25 ejaculations on this blessed Lord's day. My carpet is caked with dried cum. I haven't worn a single piece of clothing all day. My computer monitor buzzes cheerfully like a shell shocked soldier slightly unaligned with his surroundings. My right palm is calloused by the flame of a million fires, all day racheting at lightning speed my half erect phallus, fast and hard enough to create sparks. Every waking moment I've been cooming, edging, and cooming... Another day well spent.

I didn't realize how difficult writing is until I started writing short stories for fun. Almost everything I have ever written is terrible, even after many revisions and rewrites. Every now and then I am proud of a sentence, or a fragment of a sentence, or an image or phrase, and it makes me feel good inside.
It has given me a newfound appreciation for writers, even the ones I thought were terrible and I criticized them relentlessly here on /lit/ and in real life, because writing well is incredibly difficult, tiring and time consuming. I may never get to the point where I can write well.
It's one thing to be able to put a sentence together with a few cliches and platitudes, but it is another thing entirely to have developed your own unique style. It must take years and years of hard work.

Prose is a window into another person's mind. The smoother the flow of ideas, the smoother the thought process which gave them shape and prepared them for the page.
