They're not, because they're basically completely unrepresented outside of Cedric Diggory. According to JK, Hufflepuff is the house of the friend, the supporter, and the nature lover. It's where the people who show well-rounded good traits go, rather than just courage = Gryffindor, Slytherin = evil, and Ravenclaw = nerd. It's a damn shame how so much great Hufflepuff lore came out after the books were finished.
