I’ve read probably 100+ self-development books and none of them did anything long term.
All that really helps is diet, exercise, racetams, mushrooms, and most importantly of all, money.

The only components most of these books ever even mention are diet and exercise, and then only in passing and without specifics. Most of it is is just basic life advice that’s easy to say and be inspired by but wears off eventually in execution unless you have a physiology that would make the books redundant anyway.

Probably a self-help book that tells you to 'take a chance' and has 6 anecdotes that drive home two themes:
>1. you've been conditioned to believe you're not good enough
>2. fear is the only thing stopping you
So you invest a bunch of money in your 'dream business' despite not having the managerial experience, the client base, choosing a very bad location that doesn't bring enough foot traffic nor the right clientele, and foolishly working for your own business unpaid and claiming that you're making a profit.

>If applied diligently
That's clearly a "no". It's already clear that if it doesn't work there's going to be a Hermeneutical excuse or some victim blaming: "you didn't apply hard enough'.
Explain in one paragraph how you 'diligently apply' any one of those books such that persistence is all that's needed. Explain it so clearly that there's no room for misinterpretation. That work goes in and happiness comes out.
Otherwise I call bullshit.

Agreed, people including myself have been trained to find any kid of pearl-clutching about psychopaths “cringe”, but the entire reason it’s classified as a disorder is because it’s a destructive cancer. There’s nothing to envy in whatever transient material success they have. These aren’t fulfilled healthy animals. People are blinded by their jealousy instead of fully internalizing the idea that anyone that gets to billionaire status or to the tops of most hierarchies is profoundly mentally I’ll and not at peace.

Woman naturally are the receiver- you know the recipient of a phallus, the object to be gained by courting, the one to care for, if we made man and woman one body we could say she is the mind

The man is the giver- the one who does, the one to insert his phallus into the recipient, he chooses and decides by action, he goes out and works, he produces through his work. If we were making man and woman one body he would be the body.

When a man is lonely he pursues a woman. When a woman is lonely she makes her self more attractive in order to be pursued.

A man’s greatest achievement is to be something. The woman’s greatest achievement is to raise children to be something great.

A man totally controls the relationship between the two. A woman seeks to influence the relationships trajectory by passive influence, yet it is the man’s performance that makes it breaks it.

I haven't been in therapy in maybe a decade, but do you find that unless something is clearly wrong (or against social values) they are just telling you what *they think* you want to hear?
Do you find that you have to censor yourself, not out of fear that they will judge you, but out of the fact that they will pick up on some implicit desire within you and will encourage it, verbalize license to follow threw with it?
Because I suspect that's why they get paid to just "sit there and watch".

The ultramind solution gives nutritional information that improves health wellbeing and happiness. There is plenty of evidence that eating healthy improves happiness and you can see the huge amount of online reviews it got praising it.

The mind illuminated is a beginner to advanced meditation guide without fluff or spiritual claims. Once again there is plenty of evidence a basic meditation practice improves happiness significantly and you can see all the praise this book got Online as well as the communities that popped up around it. Once again there is enormous amounts of accounts people have or meditation changing their life.

Self therapy by Jay Earely simply helps you apply IFS therapy techniques on yourself to heal emotional wounds and create a better happier state of mind. IFS is an evidence based therapy that has been proven to help enough to be approved by the APA and get insurance coverage.

Ultimately the books are just about eating healthy, meditating, and therapeutic practices. Billions to millions of people have done these things to improve happiness, these books are just particularly detailed and efficient ways of doing it.

Nice try but it doesn't work like that.
Also therapy does not help people any more than talking to a doctor or a priest. That still doesn't change the the fact that those books sound shit. And you have failed to present a case why they are the best sources of instruction on how to 'self improve'.
