What are the best books in which the narrator/writer is extremely angry, and it comes across in the prose?

kingsley amis' novels. it's not quite the incel brand of anger if that's what you're after. but he had bottomless wells of venom he liked directing at certain intellectual types for a laugh

The pure 600+ page impotent academic seethe that is The Tunnel. Very caustic. Gaddis is often extremely bitter in his style, especially in Agapé Agape where it’s obvious he is basically giving up on the hope of redeeming the world with great art.

Pic related, although he's not mad so much at porn as he is at the people for whom porn is created, and also the Athenians.

I have a "fantasy" novella where the MC is an incredibly brutal Übermensch who is called to rescue a meek, helpless and retarded humanity from itself. He's a force of nature who incarnates true, raw power and a heightened will, so he displays far more noble thoughts than anyone else in the story while tearing people's skulls off their neck with his bare hands. It all oozes with my disgust for those who expect someone else to do the dirty work while contributing to entropy. Most of these people are violently removed by Mr. Chad Thundercock and are surprised when it happens. I think it's too transparent though so I'll probably never publish it.

I mean, Shield Hero not only got published but it's very popular. Might as well give it a shot.

A good amount of Vonnegut is just an angry old man being bitter and most of the remainder is just his trying to come to terms with being an angry bitter old man.

I got a big chunk through this and can confirm, his entire thesis boils down to: "Porn isn't bad, you just lack the responsibility to be intimate with people so you view life through a hedonistic lens."
It's like if Lasch watched too many twerking videos.
