Depends, usually just finish them. If I have finished plenty of books recently and I'm not enjoying or understanding what I am currently reading I have no problem dropping it completely or putting it aside for the future

I dont think Ive ever truly enjoyed reading. Its just something I did on occasion due to constraints and boredom. I deleted or trashed all my books, and I invite you to do the same.

If it feels like a chapter or lesson that I need to work through to get to something else, I'll power through it. If I see value in where I am in my present state (emotionally/psychologically/educationally, depending on the content and context), I'll set dislike aside to give it a chance.

But there have been books where I could tell that I was just not in the right headspace or season of life to receive something from the experience (or the book was outright bad), so I would abandon the effort.
