His early work like friendo was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when empty handed and particularly 'blue, blue' came out in '22, I think he really came into his own, conceptually and production-wise. The whole track has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the song a big boost.
