Have any of these advocates of "reading diversely" read anything published before the 19th century? Have they read anything outside their own language that wasn't a translation? Have they read the Poetic Edda, the Popul Vuh, the Mahabharata? Probably not.

Yes, I read a variety of authors from a wide variety of times, places, and cultures all with different experiences. I even read literature written by women and gay people. However, if you’re asking me if I read niggerature, the answer is no. I do not care for black people.
