If you can start off with an interesting question or observation or original thought discussion will ensue. But here you are posting about how much more intelligent you are then everyone.

I think a lot of this boils down to 1. A lot of lit lies about reading. 2. A lot of those that do read can’t discuss works critically.

I, honest to god, read, and I consider myself very well read for a layman, but I can probably only give good effortposts for ~5 writers. The rest would just be me giving my opinion, or discussing the book/writer in broad strokes
