This is probably why I have noticed that a disproportionate amount of mask wearers are young women (in my country masks are only encouraged, not mandated). In any given age or gender group I'd say that the likelihood of someone wearing a mask is roughly 5-10%, but with young women I'd venture to say the numbers border on 40%.

Probably in part because it's kind of become a trend/fashion thing as well, so they don't want to miss out on feeling part of the whole collective effort.

Most humans follow what is presented to them as the norm and are easy to propagandize, which is why human history is what it is and which is why we are social, tribal animals. You think like this because you yourself do not integrate into the social norm (being mentally ill), and focus on women more than men (being male), seeing women as "the other" (the normie). You also do not notice women who are outside the social norm around you because people of any gender who are outside the social norm do not show up in society (being marginal).
