gutenberg's formatting is literally from thirty years ago which can make reading on it difficult (especially on mobile and wide-screen desktop). standard-ebooks has much better and standardized formatting
but I'm building out more features that you won't find anywhere else! I think a lot of /lit/ users would appreciate being able to create and share their reading lists. Imagine being able to see, read, and check off books from /lit/'s Top 100 books or all of /lit/'s published books (TLoTiaT, Hypersphere, etc.)
and I personally make a lot of annotations and notes on my kobo (which is quite slow due to the e-ink technology) - so I would love to be able to do that quickly on a website instead
