It's interesting how the most visible minorities of these visible minorities are the ones with the most mixed blood. It's totally normal. Watch any telenovela from México or South America and you will see that the main actors are white or near-white whereas all their maids, chauffeurs, and the villain are darker-skinned.
I think it has a lot to do with Hollywood pushing its standards of beauty onto the world.

Let me guess, you're Asian (or Butterfly), and probably don't live in a big city. The reasons you're wrong range from the fact that dark skinned Asians, mostly South East Asian, aren't considered inherently succesful in any culture even their own; some have worked their way to mid-level beareaucratic positions in government but a great many still mop up the bathrooms in McDonalds in my big city far from the reserve. There are physical characteristics which distinguish many indigenous groups from both other Indigenous groups and Asians (you racist), and, finally, in big cities wealth is both projected and identified far more by material trappings and social connections than by say assuming every ruddy pockmarked primeval dark skinned will be more succesful than any other race lol. Get outside for once. Not to mention the bulk of visible Indians in my city live rough outside a mass transit terminal. Many of the succesful ones actually stay on the rez for the most part, partially because many are able to extract their wealth from it in one way or another.

You're the one who brought up the idea that natives who look physically indigenous get pegged as drunks more often than white passing natives. I think it's just the clothes and attitude and if anything, well dressed natives with slanted eyes might benefit from Asian privilege because average whitoids can't tell the difference.
